HOME GAME & LONG GAME by Lisa Suzanne

Home Game

Getting fired and dumped in the same thirty seconds makes for a pretty bad Tuesday. But by Thursday, I’ll be in Vegas celebrating my brother’s wedding. Since I could use a fresh start, he offers me a place to stay with a buddy of his.

At the bachelorette party, a raunchy game results in a quest to find me a one-night stand. When a hunk with dark blue eyes and perfect bone structure hits me with a silly line at the bar, my mission is complete.

I vow to move on from our steamy night as I head to the rehearsal dinner, certain one of my brother’s hot pro football player groomsmen will be my Prince Charming.

Then the best man turns around. Dark blue eyes. Perfect bone structure. A body I won’t soon forget.

And apparently my new roommate.

****My Review****

Definitely an extra start to something that promises an extremely fun and exciting ride in the world of football and sibling relationships. And when I say extra, I really mean extra …. the touchdown on the first page is what will have you hooked from the beginning.

But the funny part quickly ends and real chaos begins. Double trouble. Being dumped by your boyfriend and losing your job at the same time is once-in-a-lifetime thing, something that can crush you, but not our heroine…. She has a really nice solution- pack your bags and fresh start somewhere else. What more? Lots of alcohol and fun, but sometimes fate has its own plans that do not agree with the plans of our heroine Ellie Nolan. As much as she wants, she can not escape from her mystery man, who was supposed to be just one-time only. Chemistry and attractiveness are culminating, but the rules have changed now. How long can her determination and his steadfastness endure when they find themselves alone between four walls?

Definitely, a story that stands out from the previous stories of this talented author, but at the same time keeps all those elements that make us persistently and impatiently wait for all her books. Interesting moments, even more interesting dialogues and a lot … a lot of chemistry that will make you laugh out loud. You will swallow this sweet and short book in one breath. The good thing is: this is only the first of the series. Ellie and Luke are characters who will definitely be remembered for their perfect imperfection and the chemistry that simply flows from the pages when the two are together. She, as a brave and modern girl, who is not afraid to reach for what she wants. He, as a loyal guy who simply always chose the wrong step in love.

If you are looking for a book that abounds with hot chemistry, snarky banter and hilarious situations, then definitely this is a perfect choice for you. It ends on a cliffhanger,  but don’t worry, the second part is also here.

Long Game

Nothing makes me work harder than when my future husband tells me, “Prove your worth.”

Luke hired me as his publicist so his pro football team owner will see that he’s indispensable to the organization. When a defamatory headline hits newsstands, it’s up to me to show the world what a Prince Charming he truly is.

My solution? A marriage of convenience.

It’ll get his boss off his back and quiet the slanderous voices.

Luke is adamant that this is nothing more than a business transaction, but I still feel the heat from the single night we spent together when we were strangers.

Now I just have to figure out how not to fall in love with my fiancé.

****My Review****

I read Home Game in one sitting, but I literally devoured Long Game….. please tell me it’s the 18th today!!!!!!

Lisa Suzanne most definitely managed to awaken our imagination and pull me into Ellie Nolan and Luke Dalton’s story from the very first chapters. But I have to admit that I am even more intrigued with this second story from the Vegas Aces series.

A half-truth uttered in a moment of recklessness is just the beginning of an avalanche of negative reactions that are increasingly damaging the reputation and the dreams of our wonderful hero. Ellie, as his public relations representative, has a very effective solution, which further complicates the relations between the two of them. A marriage of convenience – what can go wrong? Nothing at all, if we forget their sizzling chemistry How to resist when the proximity unites you while some stupid beliefs separate you When the business agreement is the fulfillment of some dreams, if only he was brave enough to take one more step?

With her interesting writing style, well-thought-out dialogues, and imaginatively depicted scenes, the author succeeds with this second part to keep the interest of the readers until the very end. And just when we think that some things are finally clearer and more understandable, there is another end with such a cliffhanger, which makes us want the third part to come out as soon as possible. Ellie Nolan and Luke Dalton as characters in this part get enough depth to offer us a new perspective on the whole situation, but they also keep enough mystery to make us look forward to the continuation of the next part of their story. The plot itself, which may have seemed somewhat meaningless in the first part, here gains layering and weight, with enough elements to keep the reader’s attention to the maximum. The chemistry between the main characters, as well as the angst, are absolutely perfectly balanced. The addition of new supporting characters adds a dash of freshness to the story, increasing its complexity and appeal.

If you are looking for a story that has the power to take you into a world of intertwined relationships and incredible chemistry, with numerous twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat then this is an excellent choice. Grab Home Game now, cancel all obligations and get ready for an amazing ride that will leave you begging for one more page.
