Tribulation and Truths (Chastity Falls #3) by L.A. Cotton #Review

What a freaking fabulous series, I was hooked by the first few pages of book 1, and I have not been disappointed for a split second on any of the 3 books. The Story of Savannah (Ana) and Jackson has been one filled with such a variety of emotions that it is a wonder they survived, there is great sorrow, pain, misery, tears, laughs, loving, and so much more.

When Ana revealed her suspicions to Jackson about the circumstances surrounding his father’s death, she never expected it to be the catalyst for a series of events that could change everything.

It was supposed to save him, not push him away. But now Ana is left watching the person she loves more than anything, lose himself to vengeance.

Jackson has spent most of his life loyal to the man he calls uncle. But since learning that Marcus Donohue might have been responsible for the death of his father, Jackson is consumed with the need for revenge, no matter the cost.

Will the truth finally set Jackson free or will it ruin his last chance at happiness with Ana… and a life out from under the shadows of the Donohues?

**** My Review ****

To say I’m glad I discovered this gem now is a total understatement. If I had read them when they were first published it would be incredibly hard for me to wait until the next book came out. I enjoyed the first I loved the second but…. this series, this perfect mix of suspension and romance that drew us into  Loyalty and Lies is an absolutely fantastic finale, filled with even more drama and twists that will simply nail the reader from the first to the last page.

Ana and Jackson’s love tale isn’t sweet and cute. It is marked by pain and heartbreak. Monsters that lurk in the darkness, and no proof to set them free. Getting together because of the strength of their feelings that like a magnet attract them to each other, and they were separated from the cruelty of that world that imposes some unacceptable rules. Sharing tender moments filled with lust and love, yet suffering pain and heartbreak at the same time. She is changed, he is changed… some truths are discovered, some still hidden… and the questions remain: Are they be strong enough to defend their love and happiness?

The author again manages to impress us with her gift to weave a story that is full of emotion and enough drama. A series of situations, which change quickly, complementing each other, mixing pain and happiness, but not a single boring moment. The characters we met in the first part are the same, and yet so different. Fascinating is the way we see their development so vividly. The timid and withdrawn Anna is now brave enough to reach for what she wants, to defend her happiness. Although moments of suspicion shake her, she still manages to impress us with her perseverance. And Jackson is a man on a mission, playing the most important game of his life. The game of Truth. Will he be able to fold the cards and fulfill his justice. As in the previous parts, this new installment also abounds with a range of interesting characters, which are very skillfully inserted into the overall story, contributing to the whole. One of the characters I liked is Dennis, someone, who in a very subtle way, contributes to very important decisions and parts.

If you’re looking for an incredibly engrossing story, perfect romantic suspense that has more than enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your sat from beginning to end, that buy this series. You won’t regret it.

****About the Author****

Author of over thirty mature young adult and new adult novels, LA COTTON is happiest writing the kind of books she loves to read: addictive stories full of teenage angst, tension, twists and turns.

Home is a small town in the middle of England where she currently juggles being a full-time writer with being a mother/referee to two little people. In her spare time (and when she’s not camped out in front of the laptop) you’ll most likely find LA immersed in a book, escaping the chaos that is life.
