A second chance for Christmas.

I never thought I’d see Alex Blake again. Most certainly not on the side of a snowy highway in Alaska.

The memory of his summer kisses kept me warm on lonely nights for years. Life and geography got in the way.

When my car skids off the highway in the darkness in Alaska, I’m plenty bitter and I’ve lost all faith in fantasies.

I didn’t count on Alex, didn’t count on him setting me on fire, and most certainly not on him betting it all on us.

I never could forget Delilah Carter even though she was nothing more than a memory. Until I find her stranded on a snowy highway a few thousand miles away from where I last saw her.

The years don’t matter. This time, I get to make our wishes come true.

**** My Review ****

We all have some hidden secrets, hidden feelings, a part of us that we keep deep inside so that others cannot see, cannot hurt us. We are building walls to protect ourselves, to survive… This is the life of Delilah, a girl marked by the harshness of her past, who is afraid to let go and believe…
A game of fate or not, changed plans and people, distant location but her car ran off the road and her savior is the cute teenage boy, whose wet kisses are so deeply engraved in her memory…Alex and Delilah- the memories of one amazing summer camp and first kisses, and the incredible desire that burns in the present….a desire to keep the proximity, to feel the magic of new kisses and touches, but also the great distance that simply must be respected. Will they be able to overcome the obstacle and give a chance to that chemistry that is branding their bodies?
A light and entertaining novel that has more depth that can be seen on the surface. The author masterfully inserted well-elaborated parts of quite serious topics that are not easy to read and manage to awaken a storm of emotions in us. Alcoholism and the consequences for the family, lack of money as the culprit for missed opportunities, sacrifices for success are some of the topics that are fitted perfectly into this sweet love story. And I have to admit that it was refreshing to read something where the main characters are not some insanely rich billionaires with some crazy habits, throwing money everywhere, but normal people with real jobs and struggles like the rest of us. Alex is simply an amazing guy with a great family and personality. Hot, understanding, loyal, and supportive – a true match for the broken Delilah who struggles with trusting and depending on others. A real cure for her wounds. She’s strong, yet so fragile. Her evolution from beginning to end is remarkable, even though I would have loved to read a deeper elaboration of her struggle to overcome her fears and embrace Alex in her life. The only thing I didn’t really like was the dynamic of the romance. That ‘insta love’ that is so common nowadays was too much. The feelings between Alex and Delilah developed too fast for my liking. It could be said that it is because they share a thing from the past, but still, it felt too fast and didn’t allow us to experience it. Maybe it depends on the readers how they will perceive and experience the romance, as far-fetched, insta love, or something that screams FATE.
That Snowy Night is a light and sweet tale of two people who believed had nothing left, but few kisses that were engraved in their memories, only to discover they find everything in each other…. A fun, flirty second-chance romance that has a great Christmas vibe and will capture your attention till the very end.
