Blade McCormick is not a nice guy.

He’s pure adrenaline and smells like smoke and leather—the kind of guy you look at and know he’s going to be a combination of nasty and irresistible. The moment I allowed myself to touch his hot skin and kiss his full lips, I. Was. Done.

Like currency, I’ve become part of a transaction. Blade took me to pay off a debt. I try to tell myself, Eve, you should hate him. He’s a bad guy. But then again, I’m not a good girl. Blade’s the president of the Disciples, the notorious motorcycle club. I should be frightened, yet somehow, he doesn’t scare me. If anything, I think I scare him.

It takes a lot of work to become the club’s Queen, but I’ll stop at nothing to have the King!

            **** My Review ****

Love does not ask whether you agree or not, nor does it knock on the door, but simply as an uninvited guest insidiously crawls into a moment of insufficient vigilance and completely dominates you. And not only do you surrender your heart, you also surrender the power of making your own decisions, he takes it all, he decides whether she will rise to a paradise of happiness or he will kick her straight into hell.

Yes, this is the story of Eve and Blade, a story that will shock and delight you at the same time. His cruelty – her fate, her love and intrigue – his downfall. The end of Blade and the beginning of Jason, is that different? A man torn between the desire to fit in his prez role according to some predetermined stereotype and his desire to stand in line and become the right man for her. For Eve, the beautiful gypsy, gentle and strong, a pawn in his dark game, a person without the right to choose, without the right to say anything ….. But what is hidden behind the masks?

Does the loser have the strength to turn the game around, change the rules and win after all? Maybe the advantage does not always lie in the superiority – physical or academic?

Cassandra Robbins again managed to write a beautifully tickled love story, with a dose of brutal cruelty, but enough love and deep affection that you will simply enjoy. She masterfully manages to intertwine the secrets with the truth, exploring concepts such as the price of love, the pain of adultery, and true affection and acceptance. The main characters are fully developed in every way, with enough details and intimate thoughts in both their narratives to allow the reader to be able to fully experience the story. The sweet moments combined with the steamy ones will greatly contribute to overcoming the shock of his brutality, and believe me I literraly wanted to punch him in the face in some moments. A combination of anti-hero and swoon-worthy one, Blade is quite unique and memorable, Eve on the other hand is not so remarkable, but together they are the real deal. The well written plot, combined with the support characters make this book even more appealing.

Definitely, if this is the beginning, then one should expect that this will be a fantastic series with alpha males and strong enough women to tame them. Every romantic girl’s dream, right?
